Administrative Assistant (Tax Department) - Dubuque
Honkamp Krueger & Co., P.C. seeks a highly motivated and detail oriented individual to provide administrative support and excellent customer service. This position will perform a variety of administrative functions for the tax department in Dubuque. Responsibilities may include managing the workflow for the firm’s tax returns, electronic filing, processing extensions and state electronic payments, printing tax organizers, assembling completed tax returns as needed, and organizing procedure documentation. Previous clerical experience, excellent customer service skills and professional presentation and demeanor are essential. This position can be based remotely or at our offices in Dubuque, Cedar Rapids, Davenport or Madison.

As the Sales Manager, you will have the opportunity to:
- Manage and mentor a team of sales professionals within the workforce management division
- Develop an annual business plan/strategy
- Provide assistance creating awareness, identifying and qualifying a wide variety of cross-selling opportunities from the existing HKP client base.
- Develop and sell new business through prospecting and referral programs.
Requires:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 plus years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 plus years of experience in an entrepreneurial sales and business development environment
- Demonstrated success through self-sourcing and cold calling
- Demonstrated experience developing sales strategies
- Experience demonstrating success through self-sourcing and phone calling experience
- Ability to develop external relationships and develop referral partners to generate lead base
- Payroll knowledge/experience highly desirable
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and CRM

Director of Human Resources - Dubuque
HK Payroll Services Inc. (HKP), the workforce management affiliate of Honkamp Krueger & Co., P.C., is seeking an individual with broad-based human resource (HR) management experience. As the Director of Human Resources, you will have the opportunity to: 
- Direct the planning, development and implementation of human resource policies and procedures, and promote and enforce those directives.
- Oversee and manage HR staff and related functions, including organizational development, employee relations, governmental compliance, employee assessments, compensation and benefits and any other human capital related issues.
- Act as liaison for employees to achieve company human resource goals and objectives.
- Assist in developing and conducting training for management on human resource topics.
Requires:
- Bachelor’s in human resources, business or a related field
- 5 plus years HR experience at decision making / management level
- PHR or SPHR
- Basic computer skills and experience with MS Office and HRIS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
