During his career, Matt has accumulated significant expertise managing a wide
variety of private and public companies in the construction, project management
and consulting advisory suite of services. This includes various construction
cost avoidance/recovery, construction program management and owner’s
representation service engagements for Walmart Stores, Inc., and several other
Fortune 100 companies throughout the U.S., Mexico and Europe.
Matt has a broad range of experience in construction auditing across several
industries including higher education, government, retail, manufacturing,
entertainment, health care and transportation. He also has in-depth experience
in construction financial management and audit, owner’s representation services,
construction accounting, cost avoidance, prevention and recovery, contract
compliance verification, cost segregation, variance analysis, and budget and
budget variance analysis. Matt is a contributor to the College & University Auditor
Journal and a construction audit services subject matter training expert for
organizations such as the Institute of Internal Auditors, Association of College
and University Auditors, Financial Executives International and Association of
Healthcare Internal Auditors.
