Experience

Lisa has more than 25 years of experience in human resources. She began her career as a plant controller at a local manufacturing facility, where she transitioned into HR following the plant’s closure — a move that sparked a lasting passion for the field. The majority of her career was spent at Prudential Financial, where she honed her expertise. Prior to joining Honkamp in 2025, she served as vice president of human resources at Cottingham & Butler.

Family life & hobbies

Lisa and her husband, Steve, have five children: Elizabeth, Ben, Anna, Isaac and Sam. They enjoy attending their children’s activities and are preparing for life as empty nesters. With Steve’s residential construction business, they often spend time in Milwaukee helping their daughter and son-in-law with home improvement projects.
