As the research and development partner for the firm, Mike oversees training and development and various initiatives related to the firm’s digital transformation. He has more than 28 years of experience in public accounting, including five years with a Big 4 firm and 17 years in the national office of a Top 5 firm. In addition, he spent six years as the controller for a privately held food company with responsibilities over internal financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting, cost accounting, and credit and collection. Mike joined Honkamp in 2016.

Mike and his wife, Angie, have two sons, Anthony and Brian, and two golden retrievers, Circe and Juno. Mike enjoys running, golfing and other outdoor activities.
