The economic impact payments included in the CARES Act have begun appearing in bank accounts for those who filed 2018 or 2019 returns with direct deposit. Taxpayers who have not received their economic impact payment can find the status of their payment via the “Get My Payment” tool on the IRS website at: https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/get-my-payment The CARES Act also included provisions for non-filers to receive stimulus payments despite not filing a tax return. Non-filers should use the tool at https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/non-filers-enter-payment-info-here to register for their payment.
