Thomas shares financial outlook insights at chamber luncheon

On January 11, Katie Thomas, partner at Honkamp Krueger & Co., P.C., presented at the 2018 Forecast Luncheon hosted by the Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce. Both a certified public accountant (CPA) and a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP^®), Thomas shared her insights and opportunities for the financial sector. She stated, “In the accounting world, the way we have operated for decades is changing. Companies no longer want historical information. They want real-time information, and they want to know how to use that information to make better business decisions.” Thomas continued on to share, “Change is coming but the future for professionals in the finance industry is exciting. Only those of us who are willing to embrace change and think differently will survive and succeed in the future.” With almost 400 attendees, this is one of the Chamber’s premier business events for members.
