Experience
Scott leads Honkamp’s state and local tax department (SALT) department. He has 25 years of state and local tax experience, balanced evenly between industry and public accounting environments. He joined Honkamp in 2016.
As the SALT practice leader, Scott performs tax research and provides tax planning and consulting services. His specialties include all state and local tax types in all states, including sales and use tax, property tax, fuel tax and payroll tax, including unemployment. He has worked with clients in a wide range of industries, including construction, manufacturing, utilities, transportation and telecom. He has advised and guided clients through approximately 1,400 audits across 35 states during his career.
