Heather Vetter, CPA, CFE, CICA, CIA®

Experience

Heather has more than 20 years of experience in public accounting, including for-profit and nonprofit, ranging from initial audit of small construction businesses to large casino resort operations. She joined Honkamp in 2002.

In her role as partner, Heather is responsible for a large number of audit and review assignments as well as actively developing the firm’s construction niche segment. Key engagements include:

• Lead partner on audits of large construction contractors and casinos
• Internal audit functions and controls review
• Lead investigator on work for a state office that led to a guilty plea prior to trial
• Documentation of accounting systems and report preparation indicating areas of potential weakness and possible adjustments in operations to improve efficiency
