IRS announces 2017 mileage rates

The IRS has announced standard mileage rates for 2017 which includes a decrease of half a cent per mile for business mileage, and a decrease of two cents for moving and medical mileage.

• 53.5 cents/ mile for business, down from 54 cents in 2016
• 17 cents/ mile for medical or moving purposes, down from 19 cents in 2016
• 14 cents/ mile in service of charitable organizations
